Proxy As Employee

The Proxy As Employee function allows an administrator to view an experience from the perspective of the user.

To access this function, log in to the Control Panel from the Simon home page located at https://<yoursubdomain>.exphub.com.au/manager and follow the below instructions:

1. Click the orange Proxy As Employee button in the top right-hand side of the Control Panel homepage.

2. Select the user you would like to view from the dropdown list. Only users who have been delivered an experience and are members of branches you have access to will appear in the list. If you are looking for a specific user who is not appearing in the list, consider checking that you have access to the user's branch. For more information about branches, please refer to the Introduction and Permissions guide.

You will then be presented with the Home Page that the user will see when they first log in and will be able to continue to view the experience from the user’s perspective from there.

All custom field parameters that have been included on these pages will be populated with the information of the user that has been selected.

We recommend utilising the Proxy As Employee function to check any changes that are made to any modules throughout the system.

Important Note 1 – If multiple experiences have been delivered to a user, only their most recent one will be shown in Proxy As Employee.

Important Note 2 – All elements will be available for access in the Proxy As Employee mode, i.e. you will not need to complete an element to unlock the next one.

Important Note 3 – Elements cannot be completed in Proxy As Employee mode. You will not be able to answer Verification Questions or accept employment documents (Document Acceptance element), you will not be able to upload documents or submit forms (but can complete the forms from the perspective of the user), and you will not be able to accept checklist items (but will be able to view them from the perspective of the user). Notifications will not trigger in Proxy As Employee mode. This is for security purposes so that documents, forms, and checklists cannot be accepted on behalf of a user.

If you need to run through the full experience as a user (rather than simply viewing the experience), you will need to create a test user and log in as them in the user view.

Tip – Toggling between the user view and the administrator view in the same browser may cause some browsers to display the incorrect view to you. To rectify this, clear your browser’s cache and try again.
