Day One Experience

This menu is used to add, remove and edit the Day One Experience that user access as the last step within the system. 

Important Note: Refer to Editor Tool Instructions for how to use Editor Toggle to add images/text/hyperlinks to URL address/pdf documents/how to use parameters to customise your message

Caution: Making changes to the Day One Experience within myjoboffer.com.au is a global change. This means that any changes will be able to be accessed by all current active and future users of the system.

1. Login to the Employer Panel from the myjoboffer.com.au home page located at https://www.<yoursubdomain>.myjobhub.com.au

2. Navigate to the Module Manager - and click to expand.

3. Select “Manage Day One Experience”

4. Click on Add New Day One Experience to add an day one experience or All Day One Experience to Edit/Delete an existing day one experience


Customise Header Text & Customise Next Steps Text

The Day One Experience Page is divided into two sections - Header Text & Next Steps Text.

Tip: The blue line in the below image represents the split between between the header text & next steps text.

We recommend the Header Text contain an image and welcome message.

The Next Steps Text should contain all the other information you would like to advise your new employee.




How to use parameters to customise your Day One Page message

The below is an example of how you can use your custom field parameters to tailor your message to your new employee on the Day One Experience Page.

Uploading a video or YouTube video

Adding videos to the Day One screen is achieved through either an <iframe> class or a <video> class.  These are applied differently depending on the video being added. For videos where the link is hosted externally (e.g. YouTube), you would apply an <iframe> class.  Where the video is hosted on myjoboffer (i.e you uploaded the video through media manager) you would use the <video> class.

To add a <video> class insert the following code

Copy and paste the script coding into the Editor Tool.  Important Note: As this script is coding, ensure you paste into the coding Source section of the Editor Tool, by clicking on the Source button.  Upon completion, click on the Source button again, to view from the user's perspective.

To add a <iframe> class insert the following code.  If you embedding a YouTube link you can generate the code for the video from YouTube which is more reliable (see screenshots below)

Generating <iframe> code from YouTube

YouTube allows you to generate iframe code from the video on the YouTube website.  To do this locate the video on YouTube and click share and then embed.  Code will be displayed to embed the video on the day one screen.  Unselect “Show Suggested Video’s” before copying this code.

Note: YouTube code will be generated with fixed size ratios.  To amend the video size amend the height & width to match the Iframe code above.


Uploading Google Maps with an address

Adding an image from Google Maps with the location of the organisation's office is done through adding an <iframe> class.

To add an <iframe> class insert the following code.  If you are embedding a Google Map link, you can generate the code from the Google Maps website which is more reliable.

Important Note: As this script is coding, ensure you paste into the coding Source section of the Editor Tool, by clicking on the Source button.  Upon completion, click on the Proxy by Employee button to view from the user's perspective.

Generating <iframe> code from Google Maps

Google Maps allows you to generate iframe code from the URL address on the Google Maps website.  To do this, locate the address on Google Maps and click share and then embed map.  The code will be displayed to embed the map on the day one screen.  


Adding LinkedIn to your Day One Experience

The below image & text is an example of how you can integrate LinkedIn on your Day One Experience pages.

1. Login to the Employer Panel from the myjoboffer.com.au home page located at https://www.<yoursubdomain>.myjobhub.com.au 

2. Navigate to the Module Manager - and click to expand.

3. Select “Manage Day One Experience”

4. Click on Add New Day One Experience to add a day one experience or All Day One Experiences to Edit/Delete an existing day one experience

5. Go to https://developer.linkedin.com/plugins/company-insider to ascertain the LinkedIn Plugin Code.  (see image below)

    Enter your organisation's name & click on Get Code.  The code will appear in the "Copy and paste the code below into your website box"

    For example, the code for myjoboffer.com.au is 10682519.



6. Copy and paste the script coding into the Editor Tool.

Important Note: As this script is coding, ensure you paste into the coding source section, by clicking on the Source button.  Upon completion, click on the Proxy by Employee button to view from the user's perspective.

Tip: If you would like to duplicate your Day One Experiences, we recommend you copy & paste the coding using the Source button.

Using the Source button is the recommended approach to duplicating your Day One Experiences.  Copy & paste your coding using the Source button.  Then return to the user view of the Day One Experience to make any changes to the text.
